The GEN 3 has the new Threaded Bolt Catch Roll Pin – Allows for simple installation of the bolt catch and virtually eliminates the chance to damage the finish during installation (pin included). It also comes with the 1/16″ Hex Key required for assembly.
The Gen 3 also has the Upper Tension Screw – What this does is stop the slop you see in many builds an ar15. It tightens to allow the lower receiver to fit snug with the upper receiver. Allows users to fine tune the fit of the upper and lower receiver using a nylon tipped tensioning set screw inserted in the grip tang of the lower receiver. This provides a tight fit with any standard AR15 upper receiver.
The Gen 3 also has the rear takedown pin detent screw. This allows you to put in the rear detent and spring before you put on your buffer assmbly. No crazy spring to deal with while installing your buffer tube!!
The trigger guard also got a sexy new update.
