Toxic was on a mission to create a 5.56 Match Grade barrel that would also shoot .223 ammo reliable and consistent while still maintaining Match Grade accuracy and reliability.
Enter the Toxic Tak-Driver 5.56 16″ barrel.
It runs Match Grade with 5.56 ammo, but will still reliably shoot .223 Remington
It has the Match Grade logo engraved on the barrel itself.
This barrel takes a carbine length gas tube and is threaded 1/2 X 28
The barrel is second to none and is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a QPQ Corrosion Resistant Finish and QPQ coated M4 feed ramp extension.
Quench Polish Quench (QPQ) is a specialized type of nitrocarburizing case hardening that increases corrosion resistance.  QPQ is a huge improvement over Chrome Lined barrels. Unlike chrome lining, where the chrome is built up on the surface, QPQ converts the surface without the risk of dimensional build up. The technique is used when two or more of the following properties are required in a work piece.
